Mary Beth Maziarz

Thank you for your generous donation to the Dr. Richard J Gelbuda Memorial Fund.  The sudden loss of our great Dad and wonderful husband leaves us in shock and sadness, as we navigate the waters of grief trying to understand and believe our new reality.  We are strengthened by the love and many caring gestures of our friends and extended family, from the nourishing meals to the beautiful flowers to the thoughtful errands and strong shoulders to cry on -- we cannot thank you all enough for your kindnesses during this raw time.

Our Dad was incredibly generous and caring, and we would like to carry on his legacy by supporting good works of individuals and organizations that made a difference in his life.  From the Chicago Boys Club to St. Rita's High School to youth basketball leagues in his beloved Bridgeport neighborhood in Chicago, there are many ways that we know his support would continue to make a difference and help other young lives as these organizations helped him.  We also hope to alleviate some of the final medical expenses as our Mom begins the new solo chapter of her life.
